What will my interest rate be?

One of the key benefits of using link finance is that we will search for the best rate for you from our range of lending providers. Your interest rate and loan terms will be determined by your profile, which includes such things as your income, your credit history, residential stability, job stability, and bank account conduct.

What happens next once I have completed the online application?

Once you have completed the online application, we will confirm via email that your application has been received. We will then contact you via phone to go over what additional supporting information you may need to provide for your application and confirm your loan requirements.

From there we apply for approval of your loan, and once accepted, we will contact you to discuss the options and finance packages available for you.

Is there a minimum amount I can apply for a Car loan?

The minimum amount available is $3000

Is there a minimum amount I need to earn?

Yes – you must earn at least $500 per week (net)

How old do I need to be to get a loan?

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • Need to meet the affordability guidelines

What happens if I have a poor credit history?

Each finance application is considered on its own merits, however recent or large unpaid debts can make it tricky to obtain finance on reasonable terms without the support of good security or a strong Guarantor. If you are concerned that you may have a bad credit history, give us a call and we can discuss what options are available to you.

Do we do unsecured loans?

Yes – we do both Unsecured and Secured Loans. Please note at a minimum you will need a Clear Credit History to apply for an Unsecured Loan.

Do I need a deposit for a Car loan?

In general, having a deposit will help with your application and interest rate, however often 100% of the value can be borrowed provided you meet the rest of the lending criteria

What supporting information will I need to provide?

You will need to organise for 3 items of supporting information for your loan

1-Photo ID (Photo ID is generally your Driver’s Licence or Passport,)

2-A recent Payslip or Benefit confirmation,

3-Recent Bank Statement (i.e. for the last 3 months).

These can be emailed, faxed

Can I buy a car with a learner’s licence?

Yes, you can, however, the criteria for this type of loan tends to be very strict. Most lenders have a minimum requirement for a Restricted Licence.

Do I need to have insurance?

All loans that include a Car, as security will require you to have Comprehensive Insurance in place (cannot be Third Party). We can help arrange this cover for you if you do not have it,
